Today I learned that this ship would be visiting the area just for today. They were here for the Columbus Day Parade. I quickly grabbed my camera and headed over to check out this beautiful ship. It was amazing to see a live working ship and meet with soldiers from the navy and the marines who were recently in Iraq. Most of the soldiers that were on the boat were in New York for the first time ever. I took their pictures for them so they can have that memory of them being here.
