Rodney Bay

I have been to St. Lucia once before back in 2000 and it was nothing like I remembered. When I was there the beaches were secluded, pristine and now it looks like the jersey shore except for the nice water. This is the beach at Rodney Bay. This is the exact spot where I visited almost 10 years ago in front of the Royal St. Lucia hotel. The resort is still beautiful and private but unless your a guest you cant really enjoy the ammenities. We had very little time on this island but it was a nice relaxing day on the beach.

    Great pics!

    Five of us will be going on the Carnival Victory cruise in August. We plan to just spend a lazy day at the beach in Rodney Bay, as well as, let the women do some shopping. Can you tell me how much the taxi costs? Where do we get the taxi? and where would the best place be for them to drop us off?

    Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
