This is what a tie rod is supposed to look like

This is my tie rod after the incident

This is the story from this point.

I own a 2002 Black toyota camry XLE 6 cylinder car with 136,000 miles at the present time.
About a month ago I took my car to get a simple oil change at this dealership http://toyotaofhackensack.com/Default.aspx
I got my car back and took it home. The next day I drove my car to my mothers and all of a sudden my engine makes a loud noise and my brakes suddenly dont work, gas doesnt work and car stops working. The tow truck guy arrives and I tell him the situation. First thing he does is check my oil. He says ” hey did you know there is no oil in your car?” how could that be I just had an oil change. Then the tow truck driver puts my car on the lift and notices oil leaking from the pan. He then looks under my car to then find that the oil plug had been left out of the car. He then tells me that most likely your engine is destroyed. I then have my car towed via AAA to the closest toyota dealership which at the time where I was in rockland county ny about 35 minutes from my apartment. Rockland toyota then looked at the car and diagnosed that I indeed need a new engine. Now during this whole time I am calling the Toyota of hackensack to get a hold of a manager. Im being told that they are all in a meeting and they cant be bothered.  I then borrow my mothers car and drive down to the hackensack dealership to confront them. I get there and the asst. service manager is there to give me a loaner for the time being while they have the car towed down to them so they can determine what was damaged and repair it. Meanwhile within the first 3 days I did not hear a word from the dealership as to what was going on. I then had to call them to find out what they were doing and how long it was going to take. I then was told my one of thier mechanics Cedric that they have to replace the short block of the engine. after 2 weeks of waiting I get the call that its finally ready. I pick the car up 2 days ago. Im told my cedric that the engine has a 6 month warranty and the engine has 66,000 miles on it. So its a used short block not a new one.

I take the car home. Since I had it I drove 10 miles to and from work yesterday. Today (Saturday) March 21, 2008 I leave to go into staten island. I arrive to my destiation ok. I then leave and get on the expressway to head home. I start to hear  a banging noise under the car. I begin to slow down. Im currently driving in the middle of a three lane highway heading west on 278 in staten island. I then hear a loud bang and my front right side of the car drops to what felt like the ground. Now im in the middle of the expressway with cars flying around both sides of my car. I call 911 to inform them that Im disabled in the middle of the highway and I cant get out of my car. 2 minutes later the FDNY shows up parks behind me. They come to my car and check on me. Then the police arrive and start to direct traffic away from me. They immediately call a tow truck. The tow truck then picks me up and takes me off the exit and to the closest garage that he can trust. From what the truck drive saw at his brief look he thought it might be wear and tear on the Tie rod. When the genteleman at J & S auto on 505 tompkins ave in staten island looked at it he saw nothing wrong except that the Cotter pin that holds the tire rod in place was missing. I begin to call the toyota of hackensack to let them know that they have done it to me again. I speak with kevin molin the asst service manager at the dealership. He tells me they will reimburse me the $108 to tow the truck off the expressway to the garage I was currently at. He then has a tow truck of theirs come out to staten island to come get the car and take me back. Once I arrive back at the dealership he gives me another loaner and says were going to take another look at your car and go over it again to make sure nothing else is missing. All he could do is apologize for what has occured.
Meanwhile I hear am wondering what else is missing? maybe some parts in this new engine part they gave me? Im scared to get into my car after this dealership does anything to my car at this point. 2 times Im driving my car and something causes me to almost get into accidents.
