Here we are day 2 of our trip and we ported into Rosseau. This day we planned a quick tour with another young couple, newly weds from our ship Stewart and Michelle from st. louis. We met in the cab who took us to the Trafalgar Falls and sulfur springs as well as a nice scenic view of the port. Our driver was very nice along the way very friendly and trustworthy. This was the day of Obama’s Innauguration which we caught a little bit of on the ship before we left. But no matter where we went we found people listening to their radio’s on the island or watching it on tv. The rainforests were beautiful and the many mountain peaks were beautiful. I couldnt get many clear photos of the mountains because we were driving most of the time. but enjoy this port’s photos. Tomorrow I will post Barbados

Barbados yesterday St. Lucia today

Port 3 Day 4 Barbados

Well we came and went from barbados… this is a really frustrating port because the taxi drivers would not take us where we wanted to go. Only where it was profitable and easy for them. So we started out at Sandy Beach then ended up at the boatyard which was fun. As you can tell from the photos the port itself isnt much to look at.

So now we have arrived in St. Lucia which to me will be one of the most beautiful islands we have seen yet. I was here once before with my father but it was a long time ago. We have ported in the city of Castries and we hope to visit a view of the Pitons today which are the twin peaks that landmark this island

Dominica Carnival Victory 2008 Port 2 Day 3
We are now leaving the Island of Dominica. A beautiful, very tropical island with many rivers and waterfalls. We are enjoying this cruise much more now that we are visiting the islands. We had a fabulous tour guide/taxi driver who took us around named Matthew. We now head off to the Island of Barbados. Until then Thank you all for the wishes for us, we are having a beautiful time down here. I do want to mention that the presence of the Obama Inauguration reached down here too with people watching and listening on tv’s and radios all over the island and aboard the cruise ship. Im so happy for this day.

Greetings from St. Thomas

St, Thomas, Carnival Victory 2008

Kim and I have left the beautiful Island of St. Thomas. We are now on our way to the island of Dominica.  We had a very sour start to our cruise when we arrived on the ship only to find other peoples belongings in our cabin. So we could not enjoy the carnival that was going on in san juan instead we had to wait for the people who were in our cabin to get back.  Apparently they somehow got in out room after they thought it was theirs. They were actually in the room that was just one number down. We are experiencing that Carnival is the absolute worst cruise line to ride on. Luckily we have beautiful destinations each day to get away from this ship. Now ive been cruising since I was in high school and I have been on most of the major cruise lines more than once and this has by far been the worst treatment we have ever received from any cruise line and we will be sure not to ever give carnival another cent. I plan to spead really poor reviews of this cruise line when I return home.

Anyway Kim and I are making the best of things and we are really enjoying the ports. We manage to take tons of beautiful photos of St. Thomas and we hope to today in Dominica. Take care and Keep following us on facebook as I keep Posting mobile uploads when i can.
