Response to Calls about wires hanging from trees

February 28, 2009 by quintanomedia · View Comments

Hi everyone as you know from my last post we had an issue with these hanging wires up and down my moms street. Well it turns out they are definitely cablevisions cables. I received a call from a cablevision tech who came out to inspect the situation and he explained to me I had nothing to worry about that the cables were only there temporarily. Meanwhile they have been hanging there for a month now. The great part about all this is that minutes after the tech called me this was the scene on my street. Oh I left out the part where I told the tech that I notified the press about the situation.

I really have to thank Chuck Goslin owner of jibsofnewyork who hired me to assist in the filming of this amazing event. I have never heard such amazing music at a live event before. While assisting The very talented Jib Camera Operator John Pry I managed to sneak in a few photographs of the event. I really wish I could say more but my words can not do justice to the amazing music that was performed tonight. I was very lucky to witness all of these talented artists perform live in such an intimate atmosphere. This event was filmed for HDNET.com .\

Willie Nelson & Wynton Marsalis: Two Men With the Blues
Special Guest Appearance by Norah Jones

Mon-Tue, Feb 9 and 10, 8pm
Rose Theater

Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis, two of the most significant figures in modern-day country and jazz, stand on common ground in their love for jazz standards and the blues. Their performance will stir the sounds of New Orleans, Nashville, Austin and New York City into a brilliantly programmed mix that is sure to be equal parts down-home and cosmopolitan, with plenty of swing and just a touch of melancholy. Featured with them are Walter Blanding, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, Ali Jackson and Mickey Raphael, with a special guest appearance by Norah Jones.

I will post photos and video when I return

Port 4 St. Lucia

Rodney Bay

I have been to St. Lucia once before back in 2000 and it was nothing like I remembered. When I was there the beaches were secluded, pristine and now it looks like the jersey shore except for the nice water. This is the beach at Rodney Bay. This is the exact spot where I visited almost 10 years ago in front of the Royal St. Lucia hotel. The resort is still beautiful and private but unless your a guest you cant really enjoy the ammenities. We had very little time on this island but it was a nice relaxing day on the beach.

Im sure Barbados is a beautiful Island unfortunately the cab drivers there are not willing to take you there without ripping you off. We got bum rushed with 5 cab drivers walking off the ship and all of them wanted to take us only within 15 minutes of the port. So after arguing with the drivers we gave up since we got off the ship about halfway through the day and had little time left he first took us to Sand Beach.  Then after being bored for a little while there we grabbed another cab to a closer beach to the port, Boatyard beach which one of my possible future wedding clients recommended we go. This was fun to see, They had loud music playing people everywhere cheering the other people dancing on the bar. This site resembled the party atmosphere you would see in cancun on spring break just not as croweded. We spent our last remaining hours on this beach before we had to return. Our cruise ship was docked along side another ship called the island star. We managed to ride in the same cab as some drunk british crew members who were on their way back to the ship as well. Lets just say they made the ride very entertaining.

Barbados was short and not that sweet but we made the best of it. Tomorrow I will post images from our 4th port St. Lucia.
