Twestival NYC 2009

Tonight Kim and I made an appearance at Twestival NYC at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York. The event was to help support http://www.campinteractive.com. We had a good time at the event but I felt when I walked in that it wasn’t very social. Everyone was busy bowling instead of socializing. I did get the chance to meet two really awesome photographers who were covering the event. twitter.com/julianmackler and Vincent Cornelli. They both grabbed some photos of kim and I together. It was nice to be able to be photographed for once. Kim and I arrived at 7pm and left around 9pm. Dance floor empty Except when Nick Howard performed on stage. Awesome artist check his stuff out at http://www.nickhowardmusic.com. The entire time but the lanes were busy with cliques of people having fun. Felt a bit left out but I wasn’t about to drop $500 to bowl. Yes I know it was a good cause but kim and I are struggling as it is financially we were lucky to even donate what we paid in ticket the ticket price ($20). All in all the event is a really awesome idea but I feel there needs to be more involvement with the people running the event to get people to break the ice. I saw some tweets from people tonight saying how this was the most anti-social social event he had been to0. Thank you again for putting the event on in NY I would definitely attend next year. just hope to actually get to meet more people next time. BERGENFEST 2009

Begernfest is an amazing event. I had the pleasure of being invited to this event last year by my friends at Sweet Avenue Bake Shop. Merchants from all over Northern New Jersey. Award winning restaurants, Salons, Spas, Cafes, Bakeries and even a fashion show. This was not only a wonderful place to taste some great food and wine, it was also a place to network with other business owners and individual residents of New Jersey. This year Quintano Media will be the Videographer and Photographer of the event and will also have a presentation table as well. So come to the The Estate of Florentine Gardens 97 Rivervale Rd., Rivervale, NJ. The event is sponsored by Bergen Health & Life Magazine . This was a few firsts for me. This is my first time properly exporting my footage from the EX1 and canon 5d mark II. this video includes shots using both camera’s. Both cameras that I will be using to film weddings from this point forward. I also used After effects for the first time since my certification course.  I have to thank Danielle and Jake for inviting me along to this event. Kim and I had a blast tasting all the great food from award winning restaraunts in Northern NJ. I really wanted to put the camera to the test and we got some great footage of these awesome bakers doing their thing. The cupcakes were a hit that evening. Finally I finished editing the Bergenfest Highlight video. Now I shot this video with my sanyo xacti which is not the best camera to shoot in low light situations as you can tell by the video. This is not the camera I use to shoot my weddings and events. Read more
