I spent a beautiful sunday on the peaks of Mountain Creek Resort the Sunday after the huge “SNOW”icane we had Thursday and Friday. The Mountain was packed with people of all ages hitting the fresh snow that had fallen for the past two days. As a guest in Halley Obrien’s backyard I wanted to share with Mountain Creek what I could bring to the table shooting with the Canon 5D Mark II. Today was absolute madness. I arrived at the training center around 8:30am and already the fans were starting to line up. These are shots David Levy and I gathered before the sunday night football game between the Jets and the Bengals. This is also the final game to be held within the walls of the stadium. You will see previews of interviews we have been gathering in regards to the new stadium and the PSL’s the owner of the jets Woody Johnson is implementing. Today dave and I had the chance to get a tour of the new stadium currently under construction. As we walked inside we were brought to a room in the old stadium to sign waivers so that the jets or the construction company were not responsible if we hurt ourselves on site. We were all given Jets hard hats, Neon Orange mesh vests and protective glasses. We were given a personal tour just the four of us Dave and I with our wives Kim and Gina. We were rushed through most of it because they had to keep the groups moving but there wasnt much to see as of yet since the majority of the work is still not finished. The newest addition to the construction site was the turf that was laid down just this week. Here is a video we recorded during our tour. My apologies for the shakyness of the video but we were in a rush going through the stadium and had to shoot a lot of the scenes on the move. hope you guys like it. Dave and I will be returning to the stadium in the spring for another tour when the stadium will be pretty close to being finished. Be aware that if you take this tour with the jets. Rule number 1 you are not allowed to bring VIDEO cameras. you can have still cameras but not video cameras. 2. The 2 tickets you get only go to the person who RSVP for the tour so make sure you do not go in a big group because the rest of the people in that group will not receive tickets.

Today was a perfect day for an outdoors event and I attended the perfect one, The Rutherford New Jersey Street Fair on Park Ave.. The wonderful smell of grilled food, popcorn and cotton candy filled the air while live music echoed throughout the parks of Rutherford. Thousands packed the streets of this main thorough fair. I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing the local businesses in the area from fabulous restaurants to local merchants. Many of you who are visiting this blog post were handed my business card by myself as I took your photo. Begernfest is an amazing event. I had the pleasure of being invited to this event last year by my friends at Sweet Avenue Bake Shop. Merchants from all over Northern New Jersey. Award winning restaurants, Salons, Spas, Cafes, Bakeries and even a fashion show. This was not only a wonderful place to taste some great food and wine, it was also a place to network with other business owners and individual residents of New Jersey. This year Quintano Media will be the Videographer and Photographer of the event and will also have a presentation table as well. Last night I finally attneded the NJVA meeting run by Adam Mancini and many others. It was an evening full of great topics like social media in the industry and how it will improve your business, some advanced editing techniques from some of the pros, how to get the WOW shots from an award winning videographer, and to top it all off a finish with how the canon 5d mark II is effecting our industry. Many great vendors were there like armatos, adobe, animoto, canon was there with a few of there toys. I found the night to be most valuable networking with many of the other attendees. I also had the pleasure of meeting Lou Kyulynych as well. Here are a few photos from the night.

This was a few firsts for me. This is my first time properly exporting my footage from the EX1 and canon 5d mark II. this video includes shots using both camera’s. Both cameras that I will be using to film weddings from this point forward. I also used After effects for the first time since my certification course. I have to thank Danielle and Jake for inviting me along to this event. Kim and I had a blast tasting all the great food from award winning restaraunts in Northern NJ. I really wanted to put the camera to the test and we got some great footage of these awesome bakers doing their thing. The cupcakes were a hit that evening.
