As a part of AFC Championship week the jets held an event at the New York Jets Shop on Madison Ave and 50th st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. As always the ladies were very gracious and friendly with everyone who walked into the shop. When you purchased the calendar you also received a “win and your in” towel. The ladies were all very kind enough to sign my calender for me.

A day with Coast Guard Cutter Line Kingston to West Point New York
January 9, 2010 by quintanomedia · View Comments
I had the great pleasure of being on board the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Line 65611 with Chief Petty Officer John C. Kast and his crew. Today’s mission was to break up the ice on the Hudson River between Kingston, New York and West Point, New York allowing commercial vessels to travel with ease up and down the hudson river with most of them carrying more than 5 million barrels of home heating oil and other petroleum products. I had a drive of an hour and 45 minutes from Hackensack, NJ traveling north to Kingston NY to meet up with the vessel. I arrived at 8am with a small snow storm rolling in. I boarded the vessel with another reporter from Capital 9 news in Albany. Already without leaving the dock you can see the amazing amount of ice filling the rondout creek we were docked in. The USGC Cutter named “Line” is 65 feet long with a crew of 8 on board. I will be posting a video shortly of my day with this crew soon. For now here are a few snapshots I took from the day and a map of our route down river. I would personally like to thank the Coast Guard and the Cheif and Crew for making this such a great experience for me. Chief John Kast who was also a cook before he joined the Coast Guard went out of his way to cook me a great lunch on board. Thank you again for letting me join you guys on this mission.

Susie and Peter Wedding 6.27.09
December 22, 2009 by quintanomedia · View Comments
This was one of the most amazing venues I have been to for weddings. Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown New York. I made sure we arrived extra early so we can cover every angle of this beautiful castle. For this wedding I was assisted by two very talented filmmakers Tomas Mathieu and Tony Milio. Tomas was kind enough to volunteer his services for me just to be able to shoot this beautiful location. He brought a long with him his Sony EX-1 camera with letus adapter and nikon prime lenses. We had a blast filming this event. We flirted with rain here and there but luckily made it through the day without a drop. check out the highlight from this wedding.

On September14th I attended the Taste of Rockland at the Pearl River Hilton in Rockland County New York. Working for ARC foundation I filmed many interviews with tons of fabulous restaurants from the area. Unfortunately I am limited on how long my videos can be online so I did have to leave out a few. Here is the video from last monday’s event.

Twestival NYC 2009
September 13, 2009 by quintanomedia · View Comments
Tonight Kim and I made an appearance at Twestival NYC at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York. The event was to help support http://www.campinteractive.com. We had a good time at the event but I felt when I walked in that it wasn’t very social. Everyone was busy bowling instead of socializing. I did get the chance to meet two really awesome photographers who were covering the event. twitter.com/julianmackler and Vincent Cornelli. They both grabbed some photos of kim and I together. It was nice to be able to be photographed for once. Kim and I arrived at 7pm and left around 9pm. Dance floor empty Except when Nick Howard performed on stage. Awesome artist check his stuff out at http://www.nickhowardmusic.com. The entire time but the lanes were busy with cliques of people having fun. Felt a bit left out but I wasn’t about to drop $500 to bowl. Yes I know it was a good cause but kim and I are struggling as it is financially we were lucky to even donate what we paid in ticket the ticket price ($20). All in all the event is a really awesome idea but I feel there needs to be more involvement with the people running the event to get people to break the ice. I saw some tweets from people tonight saying how this was the most anti-social social event he had been to0. Thank you again for putting the event on in NY I would definitely attend next year. just hope to actually get to meet more people next time. Enjoy some of the pics and a short video I shot of the event.

I have always loved these memorial in lights. They bring such a strong reminder of that day and I feel this is the perfect tribute to remember those who were lost that day.
