We had our monthly NYC DSLR meetup at High Line Park right underneath the Standard hotel. It was nice to see more of a showing at our 2nd meeting.

Here is the Timelapse I was recording. During the meetup the wind was just howling it was very hard to keep the tripod steady. I have also still yet to master my timelapses because the flickering is so intense in each one I do. see for yourself. I would like to truly thank all that have showed up to our meetups thus far and keep supporting it as it grows. I look forward to seeing you all at the next one and hopefully some new members! Ideas for our next location so far I think the best one was the Intrepid Air and Space museum. I will research this further to see if we can get away with having a group gather on the deck. Thank you to Dave Hall for the suggestion. We also do not have a date for August. John hyland and I will be away in Orlando Florida speaking about social media the week of the 23rd to the 27th. Lets all pick a date for the next meetup.

I was honored when I was asked to speak about social media and DSLR filmmaking this weekend at an event put together by my friends Jon Connor and Cristina Valdivieso. John Hyland and I are teaming up to bring you the lowdown on how to start using twitter and facebook and use these social media outlets to help promote your work and network with other filmmakers as well as creating a buzz about your work on the internet. From what I hear there are very few seats left so make sure you register now while there is still availability.

At the last minute I managed to get into the workshop due to a cancellation. I really enjoyed the class and getting the chance to work with Vincent directly. Being able to be in a room with a professional like him for a day was great. I met many professionals who attended the workshop who were all very friendly. Each one of them brought something different to the table. I look forward to staying in touch with you all as we learn to use this camera more and more.
